  It is the first of the month my mortgage payment is due (backstory, when I closed I requested my payments fall on the 15th not the 1st, no go per PNC loan officer), I go out of my way to this branch with my payment (because the only time I ever went beyond the 1st I had numerous calls demanding payment, although the loan officer had assured me I have up to the15th before I am late, as with most of PNC, any lie will do, just get the signature on the loan agreement) Arrived around 2:10 today, 1 teller at the windows. The client she is with has a number of transactions she wants done in a certain order, and there is another client waiting already. She and I are talking, and I said they need more tellers, but of course tellers are an expense, they want you to use the ATM. Told her when I worked for Bank of America on Park Blvd. they habitually shorted the tellers, 7 windows with possibility 2 tellers working, the line didn't end. That management decided to hire a cute girl to work the lobby to try to teach customers to use the ATM, and at that point I quit, no consideration for customers or staff to pay someone to annoy those already un- happy waiting in a line or me watching her collect a paycheck for doing nothing while I am working. Sure enough, the only teller looks up and advices us there in an ATM available. I told her, don't tell me how to bank. As if I wouldn't use the machine if it were possible for my payment! And so, we are waiting, 3 more people have come into line behind me and sure enough, some wet behind the ears manager, who is not working in a cash drawer[why? too much like actually working?] comes out, and AGAIN tells us where we can find the ATM. No one left the line, so now she starts asking me what my transaction consists of, I replied are you in a cash drawer? No, then you cannot help me, and she goes on, AGAIN tells me where to find the ATM. I told her to leave me alone, it is bad enough you don't staff, I have to wait, and now you are harassing me in line!! The woman ahead of me was able to go up to the teller and the drive in window teller came back(from break?) offered to take my payment, took her less then 3minutes to bring me a receipt and change, meanwhile the manager is still telling me she is "trying" to help. You want to help, either put on more tellers or get your Lily white hands soiled by doing some actual work, but at the very least, when someone tells you to stop bothering them, shut up and sit down maybe. I hate PNC, really, thinking of selling just to not have a mortgage with them.
